  1. I have a Canon ip8750 photo printer which is 2.5 years old. Recently it has ceased to print and shows the error code 1403, which suggests the print head might be at fault. I have tried cleaning the head to no avail and the cartridges have ink in them.
Can you suggest what else I can try as I expected a longer life from this Canon printer which has given good results in the past.

  2. Easy to fix, take the printhead out, clean the side where the ink comes out with alcohol. ‘picture4’
    Please it back in, done.

  3. I am having the same issue. Wth. These printers are expensive as is and to have this issue is unacceptable!

  4. Same thing here with same printer. I even replaced the printhead with a new one, and the error persists. Anybody have any luck?

Same problem 1403, called support said to install new ink, $72 worth by the way, cleaned where ink goes in with alcohol like I was instructed, same error code. Printer was purchased in 2017 and only used a few times. I too find this unexceptable. And how do I take out the “printer head”?!!!!

  6. Same over here, Canon MX925. Printed without problems for two years, now there is this sudden 1403 error. Impossible to repair; and I know my stuff after having used Canon devices for three decades. This is a systematic manufacture problem that Canon needs to address in a generic way! Don’t let individual users fight this frustrating fight.

  7. I have 7 Canon printers from the massive ipf8100 to a MG5550 and at this moment only one of them (the MG5550) is functioning, which I managed to achieve after sitting with it all day cleaning, resetting, changing ink tanks, and changing print heads.

Everyone of them is a print head issue! from the £450.00 PF-03 to the £65.00 QY6-0082 (total ~£1000) This really is not good enough Canon!
