SOLVED – How to fix laptop which is not charging while plugged ?

Here are some steps to fix laptop not charging-

Step-1: Check Your Power

First, check your power AC adapter. (on your other laptop or check with a multimeter- its voltage)
Change your battery.

What to do first see this video-

If your charger is working fine then-
Try to unplug the charger and remove and reinsert the battery and see it’s working or not.
If not then try this-

Step-2 : Update or Uninstall battery driver-

  1. Plug out your charger from the laptop.
  2. Release the battery for 10-15 min.
  3. turn on your laptop with the AC Adapter plugged in ( with charger)
  4. After entering Windows
  5. Go to Device manager You can type “Device manager” in windows start bar or  Go to Control panel >  click on Device Manager.
  6. Find battery driver.
  7. then find ”Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery” or – Microsoft Ac Adapter
  8. Right click that driver and uninstall all the driver.

  1. Shutdown your computer.
  2. Release the charger again
  3. Attach the Battery.
  4. plugged in your charger again.
  5. Turn on your laptop.
